Whether you’ve been running an Ecommerce shop for a while or trying to make your first sale. We take a look at how you can drive quality traffic to your new product page and generate those all important sales.

Influencers

A great way to spread the word about your latest product is to get someone to do it for you. Using an influencer that represents your target audience and brand values is a clever way of promoting your product to people who don’t necessarily know your business as well as bringing the product to the attention to those who do.

Influencer marketing can come in many forms depending on your budget and what you want to achieve. It could be a review on their blog, a post on their Instagram or a vlog on their Youtube Channel. The most important thing is that you choose the right influencer for your business, make sure you do your research into their demographic, their followers and the type of brands they work with. Email Marketing

Whilst other forms of marketing can take a while to start generating sales, Email Marketing can start right away. There are a number of ways you can use email to promote your new products depending on the type of customer.

For subscribing customers, you could tell them about the new product before it goes live in order to make them feel valued or offer them an incentive like 10% off the new product.

For new customers, you could feature the new products in the sale confirmation email. Feature other products they may like and include a link to the product pages.

Social Media

The obvious option for promoting a product is through your social media channels. But don’t just stick to a simple image and description post.

Use social media to create buzz around the product, share sneak peek videos and photography. Start a live stream to announce the launch. If you use an influencer, make sure you share their posts. Create a story on Instagram about your product let the customer know how it will benefit them. If your customers are talking about it and asking questions, answer them and generate a conversation.

You could run a contest on your social media channels to win the new product. Not only will this boost your social media stats and drive traffic to your new product page, it will also create a buzz on social media.

Blogging

Writing a blog about your product can not only boost your SEO efforts but it can also drive valuable traffic to your website. It can attract new customers, increase product sales and, if you’re lucky, capture the attention of the media or high profile bloggers that could end up writing about you.

A blog can be a great way to share more information about our product, write about how to use it, how it can benefit the customer or even its include it in a Gift Guide or Trend Report.

There are plenty of ways to promote a new product however it’s important that you use strategies and channels that work with your audience. Understanding your customers and what they will want from the product should be the centre of your marketing message and remember to keep all content on brand.
