Case Study D – Waspinator
Waspinator Ltd has developed a unique product that clears gardens of wasps without harming or killing them.
Launched in 2008, it was quickly featured on national TV and Radio and was an immediate success by mail order. Subsequently Waspinator has been stocked by all the major UK garden centres.
The speed of growth took the company by surprise and Waspinator soon found it was spending more time packing, distributing and generally fulfilling orders than creating new sales or developing the business.
With their many years of experience within the fulfilment field, Ogden Fulfilment were approached and were asked to look after the storing, packing and delivery aspects of the business, so allowing the owners to concentrate on development rather than day to day operations.
Ogden Fulfilment now takes in bulk deliveries for the company, and stores their stock within Ogden’s secure warehouse. Waspinator’s website and sales activities generate daily ‘pick lists’ which can vary in size from a few items in winter to hundreds per day in the summer. These are received by Ogden Fulfilment who pick, pack and deliver each order as and when required, so relieving pressure on the business.
